Sustainable Development Strategy
The first version of the First Nation's SDS was created in 1997 when the AFNQL decided to take over the process of the Federal's Sustainable Development Strategy in order to define its own sustainable development strategy. In 2006, a second edition of the SDS was produced for the years 2006 to 2009.
The FNQLSDI is currently in the process of renewing its Strategy.
First Nations are currently facing particular social, economic and political realities that are very different from the rest of the Canadian population and this is why it is critical to update our Sustainable Development Strategy.
